I’ve heard or read the saying “good things come to those who wait” more times than I can count. While I agree with that sentiment I think there is more to it. Being patient is an excellent character trait, because realistically things don’t always happen in an instant. However, things don’t happen at all if there is no effort or work put in. If you want something, you have to work for it.
So, I think going forward I’d rather say “good things come to those who put the work in … then wait”.
