30 Days of Spin Week Two/Three Check-In

It’s officially been 21 days of spinning and I actually feel pretty good. On the first of March, I started my 30 days of spin challenge, where my goal was to spin at least 40 minutes per day for 30 days.

Since starting the challenge I’ve managed to spin anywhere between 15 minutes to 4o plus minutes per day, not missing a day with the exception of March 20th. On the 20th, I took the day off because I was feeling severely under the weather; and since March has 31 days in it, I didn’t feel guilty about resting that day.

Week Two

Week two was a surprisingly good week for me. I feel like I really got into the groove of spinning and realized that I would rather complete the challenge than burn myself out so, I peeled back on the difficultly and length of my ride on some days. This week I also started doing HIIT classes which challenged me. The classes are a pain to complete but once completed you feel amazing. I haven’t seen any body changes, or any changes on the scale even though my diet has also changed significantly with me riding every day- but I am hopeful that once I iron out my hormone situation things will begin to move. Despite not seeing any physical changes, I can honestly say that I feel really good.

Week Three

Week three was a little different. That time of the month came to visit and with it was pain like no other thanks to Paragard (which I will be getting removed ASAP). Nonetheless, I tried my best to still spin daily and managed to spin at least 20 minutes on most days. This week was the first week that I took a break because the severe allergy attack I was having mixed with PMS symptoms was way too much for me to bear.

Overall

Overall, I feel good about my progress so far this month. Even though I’ve missed the mark a few days, I’ve been doing really well with this challenge and have been becoming more intuned with my body and what my body needs.

As always, thanks for reading! I’ll see you on the next blog.
