Brunch at 7th & Carson
Brunch-7th & Carson

This past Sunday I went to the first ever Gals That Brunch Las Vegas at 7th & Carson in Downtown Las Vegas. 7th & Carson is an American Shareable restaurant that offers Brunch, Lunch, & Dinner. 7th & Carson offers a variety of menu options with a few vegetarian options or the ability to ask for some of the dishes without meat.

Our brunch menu consisted of avocado toast with or without egg, arugula salad, breakfast pizza, french toast, and chicken & waffles.

I’ll admit that my feelings on eating avocado is about as consistent as the weather in Texas, sometimes I’m okay eating it and other times I’m picking it off my food if it’s placed on my plate. This time around, I gave it a shot and ate a piece of the avocado toast.

I don’t know if it was the drizzle of oil that was on the toast, or the freshness of the avocado but I loved the avocado toast. It took me a minute to decide to actually eat it, but once I did, it was really good.

The arugula salad was a different story for me however. I didn’t enjoy it quite as much, maybe because I needed more dressing.

I didn’t get to try the breakfast pizza because of the bacon on top of it, I don’t eat pork. However, the ladies around me who did eat the breakfast pizza at 7th & Carson said it was delicious.

The French toast at 7th & Carson was good. It didn’t necessarily wow me, but nonetheless it was good. I loved how it was topped with lavender, I’ve never seen anyone plate French toast with the use of lavender. I thought that was a nice touch.

The star of the entire brunch for me was the chicken and waffles.

The chicken was fried nice and crispy and was also seasoned well. The waffle was like cake, it was sweet and loaded with sugar. The waffle was paired with bourbon syrup, and once those two combinations met it was literally an explosion in my mouth. This was the best waffle I’ve ever had in my life, easily. I have to be honest I have never fully understood the pairing of chicken and waffles but after trying 7th & Carson’s gourmet spin on the popular pairing it makes sense.

Thanks for reading!
